Les Levine, Krzysztof Wodiczko; ICA, London; 6/9/85

Les Levine and Krzysztof Wodiczko discuss their art practice with Roger Tuck. Levine is a conceptual artist working sculpturally, often with new media, from video to billboards. Levine was born in Dublin, Ireland and educated at Central School of Arts and Crafts in London. Since the late 1950s Levine has lived and worked in NY.

Born in 1943, Krzysztof Wodiczko is approximately 10 years junior of Levine. Polish born Wodiczko graduated in 1968 with a degree in Industrial Design from the Academy of Fine Arts, Warsaw. Wodiczko also emmigrated to North America, teaching at the famous Nova Scotia College for Art and Design in Halifax. Today the artist teaches at MIT. He is well known for making work which he calls Interrogative Design, which included giant projects poltically questioning relations produced by urban environment.
