Cornelia Parker, Kay Roberts and Marysia Lewandowska; Actualities, Limehouse, London; 1/10/87

Cornelia Parker discusses an installation commission for St. Peters Church and Kettle's Yard Gallery, Cambridge which she completed in 1988.

Parker begins by discussing the work; how she came across the site, all the way to the construction of the commission and her thinking behind it.

In this work, she begins in a Church tower and travels to the nearby Kettles Yard Gallery, concluding in the intimate space of a cupboard. This movement implies a crossing of public and private space.

Lewandowska picks up on the possibly of reading Parker's work as an ironic comment upon the monument of the Church. The commission enables access to the institution though the alternative subjective position of an artwork.
